Lauren Emerson was elected NAAE Region II Vice President at the 2024 NAAE Convention after serving as the Region II Secretary. She will serve as Region II Vice President for three years. Lauren began her teaching career in 2012 after receiving a B.S. Degree in Agriculture Education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. She has spent the majority of her teaching years in the Rapides Parish School District and was able to start one brand new ag program and FFA chapter there before settling in at her current location.

Lauren participated in the Teacher Turn the Key program in 2016. She was selected as an Agriscience Ambassador in 2017 and presented workshops at the National FFA Convention and NAAE Convention. In 2018, Lauren won the NAAE Outstanding Early Career Teacher award as well as the ACTE New Teacher of the Year award. That same year, she also served as an ACTE Fellow.

Lauren graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA with a M.Ed. Degree in Educational Leadership in December of 2019. The following year she accepted her current teaching position at North Central High School in LeBeau, LA, where she replaced her father after his retirement. Lauren hopes to continue the family tradition and legacy through this agriculture and FFA program.
