Paul Aarsvold was elected NAAE Region III Vice President at the 2023 NAAE Convention in Phoenix. His tenure as regional vice president will last for three years.
Paul is in his 29th year of teaching. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Minnesota and taught four years at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in central Minnesota before moving back to his home area in south-eastern Minnesota where he and his wife taught together for the first three of his 25 years at Plainview-Elgin-Millville.
Paul has been involved in numerous committees and leadership positions within Minnesota's agricultural education family. He served as a Region Director, Membership Secretary, and the President Trilogy for the MAAE. Paul has served on the Minnesota AFNR (Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources) Blueprint committee, as an NQPS (National Quality Program Standards) trainer, the Minnesota Perkins V Taskforce, Local Regional Perkins Leadership Team, and has served on the NAAE Professional Growth Committee. In the summer of 2020, Plainview-Elgin-Millville was named the Minnesota Outstanding Middle/Secondary Agricultural Education Program.
Paul currently resides outside of Plainview with his wife, Val. They have five children: PJ (Melanie & son Talek), Nick (Becca and Baby Aarsvold due in June), Lafe (Maddy), Julia, and Jessica. When not busy with agricultural education or his family, Paul enjoys announcing and webcasting for high school football and wrestling.
