Bill teaches agriculture at Munford High School, in Munford, Tennessee. He was elected NAAE President at the 2024 NAAE Convention after his service as NAAE President-Elect, NAAE Region V Vice President, and NAAE Region V Secretary.
He has been a leader in agricultural education on many levels, which included serving as the Tennessee Association of Agricultural Educators' President in 1997-98 and the TAAE Secretary from 2000-2017. Bill has also received recognition at the national level, as a recipient of the Outstanding Teacher award in 2010.
"I have always admired our leaders for the work that they do," said Bill. "I want to do my part to provide service to our organization as well."
Bill has been a teacher for 49 years. He believes the hands-on experiences provided through agricultural education are the most valuable learning tools for students.
He resides in Friendship, Tennessee with his wife, Sandy. He has three children, two step-children, and 12 grandchildren.
