Katie Wood is the Event Coordinator for NAAE. Katie handles the logistics of many NAAE events including the annual NAAE Convention, and summer professional development programs. Making sure program participants and convention attendees have an excellent experience at NAAE events and are able to translate their professional development skills to their classroom is what Katie uses as a measure of success. Since 2012, Katie has been connected with NAAE in various capacities, serving first as a Communications Intern.

Graduating from Washington State University with degrees in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Economics, she also received her MS in Adult Education from Troy University. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential from the Events Industry Council. As a contract employee for NAAE, Katie also enjoys her "day job" at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at WSU where she serves as the Regional Operations Manager for the Northwest Washington region. This experience has greatly expanded her knowledge of Career and Technical Education in a different career pathway. She is a Washington native, currently living in Stanwood, WA with her husband, Neil, and her children Heid and Helen. When she is out of the office, you can find Katie working on the family's hobby farm, baking, cooking, and remodeling her home.
